Terms of service

SpeechAnvil is operated by [OPERATOR NAME], trading as SpeechAnvil. By using the service you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose.

What the service is

You answer interview questions and AI writes a speech from your answers; we may use third-party AI providers to generate it. The interview and your speech plan are free. Paying unlocks the full speech: the Standard plan (£14.99) includes your speech and one revision; the Best Speech plan (£24.99) includes unlimited revisions and delivery notes. Unlimited revisions are intended for improving a single speech; we may refuse excessive or abusive requests, including repeated requests to generate entirely different speeches. You can upgrade from Standard to Best Speech for the difference in price. All prices are in pounds sterling.

Delivery and refunds

Your speech is generated and delivered immediately after payment. By purchasing, you request immediate delivery of personalised digital content and acknowledge that, once delivery has begun, you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel that would otherwise apply to digital content under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This does not affect your other statutory rights: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described and of satisfactory quality, and if it isn't, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or price reduction. Your content and your speech

The stories you type remain yours. The finished speech is yours too: we assign to you all rights we hold in it, and you may perform, print, adapt, and share it freely. We don't reuse your stories or your speech for anyone else, and we don't use them to train AI models.

What you promise us

That you'll only submit stories you have the right to share, that you won't use the service to produce unlawful, hateful, or harassing material, and by using the service you confirm you are at least 18 years old. We may decline to generate content that breaches this, without refund where the breach is deliberate.

Some choices about tone are yours: where a story is edgy but harmless, you can choose to include it. But regardless of any setting or request, SpeechAnvil does not generate slurs, racial or ethnic hatred, content that demeans people on the basis of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity, or any sexual content involving minors. These limits are enforced automatically and cannot be switched off.

Honest limits

Speeches are generated by AI from what you tell us. We work hard on quality - it's the whole product - but we can't guarantee a particular reaction from your audience, and you are responsible for checking the final speech before you deliver it, including names and facts. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Service changes

We may update prices and features for future purchases, and update these terms; the terms shown at the time of your purchase are the ones that apply to it. If we ever discontinue the service, purchases already delivered are unaffected.

The legal frame

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction - though nothing stops you bringing a claim in your local UK court. If one clause is found invalid, the rest still stand.
